1) The only point that I can relate to here is the first one. It's absolutely true.

2) Texas is notorious for being deeply religious, and it's all an excuse for 'sex-ed'? While I disagree with the first part, I can't deny some truth in the second in some cases. But, I'd have to say that's probabily true in a great many places other than Texas, and it's not everywhere in Texas...

3) OK - high school football is taken pretty seriously. The 4A school I went to would take, 2 buses for football, two for band, one - two for drill team / cheerleaders, a couple of equipment vans and another van or two for other school officials.

4) I can't say, I never attended a private school, though I doubt the validity of this statement when applied across the state.

5) Yes, what you say is true, but incomplete. Please review your history and do not cherry pick.

6) Most of this is true, except for the destined to be a UT or A&M student at birth. Parents have a say, sure. But Texas is not like Oklahoma, where a vast majority of the state only care about OU / OSU and nobody gives a damn about Oklahoma as a state. Sure, the Aggie jokes are perfect substitutes for blonde/Polish/ect. jokes. And the Corps at A&M has some brutal hazing / initiation (or used to.) To address the racism would be another reply of itself. Again, while this may be grounded in truth at some point in the past, I would recommend you review your delivery

Overall, this seems like a negative article. Sure, there are some native Texans who don't like Texas and there are plenty of transplants who hate Texas. But this article, while most of it is grounded in truth, has a pretty decent bias against Texas. Perhaps it's the very narrow scope and limited life experiences of the author, I can't know for certain. This is fine if you were to back it up with some substance, but sadly, it is not the case.
