Alberta, Canada is home to One of the world`s greatest national parks with a stretch of almost 7,000 square kilometers, that hosts millions of tourists every year with plenty of wintertime activities and breathtaking mountain lake sceneries.

First inhabited by the early Indians, the park area had later been used for railways, coal mining and hot spring water tourism. Since its recent discovery in the late nineteenth century by the railway workers up to the point when millions of people were passing it through via the Trans Canada Highway, the park had experienced a great decline in the health of its environment and ecosystem, urging new management and strict policies to preserve its natural ecology.

Stretching over the Canadian Rockies as a segment of the North American Rocky Mountain Range, the untouched landscape include around 93 percent of the park. The amazing wilderness gives home to Deer, Bighorn Sheep, elk and Moose,  while the latter is unfortunately declining in population. At some rare occasions one might spot cougars, wolves, coyotes and grizzly bears, while at the warmer part of the park one can find squirrels, marmots, porcupines and beavers as well as Grouse, Eagles and Goose for the bird lovers to watch.

The Park`s main attractions are the Upper Hot Springs, the Lake Louise Mountain Resort and the Mount Norquay ski resort. The main activities besides sightseeing can horseback riding, skiing, kayaking, rafting, canoing, snowboarding, fishing and ice skating.
